I’m Maria, a Concept Artist from Northern Ireland, specialising in Props and Set Decoration for Film and TV.

My job is to design the objects and set pieces that help bring films to life, from hero props to detailed set dressing. My focus is on balancing research , storytelling and functionality, to create a piece that feels authentic on the screen while meeting the practical every-day demands of the production.

I’ve worked on high-profile projects, including Deadpool & Wolverine and Dungeons & Dragons, for studios such as Paramount, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and HBO.

I love the problem-solving side of concept design just as much as the creative one!

I believe in opening doors for young people to see the creative industries as a real, tangible option. Through workshops and talks, I share what goes on behind the scenes and how design plays a role in storytelling.
